Our General Provisions

Each client will be provided with their own private double bedroom. Each of our bedrooms is well decorated and may be personalised. Some bedrooms are ensuite.  We strive to provide our tenants with the responsibility of having a well looked after room to promote their sense of responsibility and ownership. The house has unlimited Wi-Fi and Sky television for our tenants to use in their free time.

The kitchen is equipped with excellent cooking facilities which include a fridge freezer, toaster, microwave oven and shared kettle.

The use of all communal areas in the house, Kitchen/Living room/Garden/Bathroom/laundry are all for tenants to enjoy.  There is also the shared iron and ironing board.

Help to manage their behavior in positive ways through Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) approach.

Our clients have a varied complexity of needs.  We work with our tenants on issues such as:

Maintaining their tenancy

Move-on and resettlement preparation.

Accessing education and/or training, seeking voluntary/paid employment

Accessing and engaging in recreational and leisure activities

Maintaining and developing safe and supportive relationships

Practical life skills training (e.g. cooking and basic hygiene)

Maximising their income (e.g. claiming benefits, budgeting, banking)

Psycho-education, maintaining a stable mental health and resolving crisis

Maximising clients’ dignity, equality of access, right to control, confidence and the ability to work towards achievement of goals and aspirations.

Enabling clients to share experiences, gain support, learn new and improved coping skills; develop confidence and resilience for independent living.

Embedding recovery principles in lifestyle and practice.

Ensure opportunity to receive and provide further education and training.

Cooking: initial mandatory home economics session for up to an hour, then fortnightly or as requested.

Healthy living options: dietary advice; accessing health services including physical health checks, complementary therapies, and improving fitness activities and well-being.

Encourage the reviewing of personal development plans at agreed intervals.

Monitoring self-administration of medication, assessing risks/side effects and compliance.

Form filling.

Personal safety.

Harm minimisation

Clients are supported and actively encouraged to attend local places of their choice such as leisure centres to participate in healthy living activities/exercises; visit the parks; participate in locally organised activities, seek volunteering/paid occupations; undertake training; and organised trips to cinemas, bowling, museums, art galleries, zoos and local leisure centres. Tenants are encouraged to maintain and develop safe, supportive and therapeutic relationships such as to visit their relatives and friends or inviting them if they so wish.

Clients are supported to maintain their tenancy, access the benefits and housing services, access support services available locally, access training and employment wherever possible
